Casa Cattiva is a project that bears the signature of Industria38, in which Michelangelo Pivetta and Marcello Verdolin work.
We are located in San Giovanni Lupatoto, a municipality in the province of Verona.
The project is a residential building for private use on the border between the urban sparwl and the rural world.
Concrete and its texture
The main building material is fair-faced concrete: to give it even more character, formwork was chosen to which a texture was applied to simulate the wood once used, giving possibilities for reading the track of all site operations.
The perimeter of the house ensures visual permeability; in fact, there are several breaks in the structure that allow dialogue with the surroundings thanks to large windows.
The continuity between the indoor and outdoor space is also dictated by the flooring, which, in stark contrast to the context, stands out with the choice of using Lessinia stone.
The harmony of contrast
Dark tones were mainly followed for the furnishings, except for a few design elements that stand out in the space with their vivid colors.
The dark ceiling is made less dark by the use of planked rather than solid panels and the inclusion of LED strips that provide light at a rigorous and orderly pace.
In addition to being a style choice, the suspended ceiling also proves to be a functional solution for facilities.
The bare plant
The choice of concrete as a building material consequently implies the use of an outdoor facility; here Wallbox and Genuit components in the silver finish were installed, which fit perfectly into the decided context of Casa Cattiva.
