Cargo High-Tech was created with the goal of offering a wide selection of furniture, home accessories, and design objects that combine aesthetics and functionality.
The brand’s philosophy is grounded in a constant search for original products capable of integrating diverse influences and creative solutions. Its offering ranges from furniture to homeware to everyday objects, all conceived to accompany daily life with natural ease and style.
The project continues the legacy of High-Tech, founded in 1981 in the heart of Milan and always driven by the pursuit of the new, the unusual, and the authentic.
From Via Meucci to the Martesana, and through its location at Corso Como 6, Cargo and High-Tech represent two complementary identities: the first more immersed in nature and the hands-on dimension of making; the second rooted in the vibrant center of the city, a symbol of research and ingenuity. Both share the same philosophy: shaping spaces that reflect life, while respecting people and the environment.
Cargo Milano Design
The new Cargo Milano, located at Via Meucci 50, is the result of a long creative and construction process that brings together architecture, nature, materials and light in a coherent, contemporary narrative.
Facing the historic store at Via Meucci 42, the new building expands and renews Cargo’s presence in the Martesana district, reaffirming its identity as a place of design, sustainability and community.
Alongside the exhibition areas, the new complex includes a dry garden, a communal square, and the Tanishka restaurant, which offers a culinary experience blending East and West.
Every environment is conceived as a natural extension of the visitor experience, inviting people to pause, explore, and engage with the space freely and consciously.
The project, designed by Mauro Bacchini, founder of High-Tech and Cargo, together with WEG Studio, features Genuit components for the exposed electrical system and lighting.
Spot and Globo lamps define accent points and functional areas, while the Skyne and Wallbox lines complete the design with a discreet yet distinctive presence. For outdoor installations, specific solutions such as the IP55 Wallbox external enclosures were also used, ensuring protection, durability, and aesthetic integration in open-air settings. These elements help create a visual balance that elevates both materials and spatial perception.
A project that celebrates collaboration and attention to detail, where light not only illuminates but reveals matter, time, and space, restoring identity and harmony to every environment.
