The space chosen by Millesimè for its second store in Haarlemmerplein, Amsterdam, retains the solid charm of historic banking institutions.
Working on historic walls or existing ceilings without compromising their structure led Zetae studio to rule out flush-mounted electrical systems, opting instead for a surface-mounted solution with high aesthetic value.
The space is characterized by impactful architectural features and an authentic underground vault where original elements, such as the safes, have been preserved to host limited-edition capsule collections.
Along the descent to the basement, Zetae studio leveraged the modularity of Genuit components to follow the contours of the wall seamlessly. A composition of Line linear lamps and DotBox light points forms an integrated system that physically and visually accompanies customers between the store’s two distinct realms.
On the ground floor, above the central counter, a suspended solution featuring the Skye Track profile integrated with Light Dot TB fixtures provides an effective design that upholds the project’s overall style and visual strength.
A project with a bold character, capable of enhancing the history of the location with sensitivity and respect, transforming it into an integral part of the brand’s identity. At Millesimè, vintage becomes a way of interpreting time: not merely a memory of the past, but a living matter capable of renewing itself and acquiring new meanings. This vision perfectly aligns with Genuit’s philosophy, where the dialogue between memory, identity, and modernity becomes a core design principle, giving new life to what deserves to be preserved.
